Growing up at a time when owning a Gameboy made you the coolest kid on the block, Senior Gameplay Programmer Aishling Mulhern loved to embark on various handheld adventures.

As a lifelong gamer, she was inspired by art books focused on character design and aspired to become a concept artist. But once she discovered the puzzle-solving nature of programming, she knew this was her true calling. Since joining TT Games Ltd six years ago, she has worked on multiple popular titles – including the BAFTA-nominated hit, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

“I am immensely proud of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga,” says Aishling. “It was amazing to see billboards and buses promoting a game we finished during a globally challenging time.”

Drawing on her own childhood memories, Aishling knows full well the power of games to bring people together and treasures the impact her work has had on younger gamers.

“By far, the best thing about working at Warner Bros. Games is contributing to the adventures kids have, by working on games that they’ll cherish into adulthood,” she says. “I love hearing that people enjoy our titles and I’m delighted knowing all the memories families and friends are sure to make in couch co-op!”

But beyond working on beloved games, Aishling also participates in Employee Resource Groups at Warner Bros. Games. As a member of “Women in TT,” she’s had the opportunity to connect with women from other studios and departments:

“It’s been inspiring to hear their stories and take part in panels to encourage more women to join the games industry,” says Aishling. “It is important to be able to raise up minorities to make sure their voices are heard.”
