Meet Pamela Corona, Manager in the Procure-to-Pay Customer Care and Training team at Warner Bros. Discovery Mexico. Tell us a little bit about you— your name, your role, and how long you’ve been at Warner Bros. Discovery

My name is Pamela Corona, and I’m a Manager in the PTP Customer Care and Training team at Warner Bros. Discovery Mexico. I’ve been with WBD for two and a half years, and it has been an exciting journey of growth.

When I joined, our team consisted of just six people. Today, we’re part of a global organization that collaborates across regions to deliver a seamless Procure-to-Pay experience. Having the opportunity to grow alongside the team while helping build processes, develop talent, and strengthen the customer experience has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

Explain your role— and why it matters to the business— like you are explaining it to someone at a dinner party

My role is to help ensure our suppliers and talent are paid on time so the magic of WBD can happen. When something gets stuck in the Procure-to-Pay process, I work behind the scenes to remove roadblocks and find solutions quickly.

I also focus on improving the experience of our business partners by enhancing processes and providing tools and channels that make everything smoother and more efficient, while living our values of Caring with Purpose and Delivering Excellence.

What sparked your interest in this field?

Although my career has always been focused on Procure-to-Pay, what has inspired me most is the opportunity to collaborate with people from different cultures across the globe and diverse backgrounds. I enjoy bringing diverse perspectives together to solve problems and create better experiences.

I strongly believe that every decision shapes your career journey. When I joined the Customer Care team at WBD, I had no idea how much I would learn or how many exciting challenges were ahead. Today, I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve built together and excited about the ambitious projects still to come.

What is your team like?

Our team is global, highly collaborative, and constantly evolving. Every day, we connect across countries, time zones, and cultures to support Procure-to-Pay operations as One Team.

Even from different parts of the world, there is a strong sense of unity—we rely on each other, share knowledge openly, and come together to solve challenges as they arise.
If I had to describe the team in one word, it would be dynamic. We’ve gone through multiple changes and transformations, which has helped us become a stronger, more resilient, and adaptable team that consistently delivers customer excellence.

We are a team that not only supports day-to-day operations, but also continuously looks for better ways of working—improving processes, enhancing the customer experience, and building scalable solutions for the business.

What project are you most proud of recently, and what impact did it have?

One project I’m especially proud of is helping implement our global Follow the Sun support model across Procure-to-Pay operations. The idea is simple: no matter where a question or issue comes from, there is always someone ready to help, making support faster, more seamless, and truly global.

This project has been much more than reorganizing workflows. It has meant bringing teams together across regions, redesigning processes, and creating a clear escalation model, so requests reach the right people faster. As a result, we’ve reduced resolution times, eliminated confusion around ownership, and delivered a better experience for our business partners and suppliers.

For me, the greatest impact is knowing that behind every process improvement is a better experience for someone. That’s what Caring with Purpose looks like in action.

What surprised you most about the culture here?

What surprised me the most was how intentional the culture is. It’s not just something you read about—it’s reflected in the way people collaborate, take ownership, embrace new ideas, and support one another every day.

Even though my team works behind the scenes, there is a shared understanding that every interaction matters. Whether we’re supporting employees, suppliers, or business partners, our goal is to make their experience easier so they can focus on what they do best.

That’s what makes the culture so meaningful to me: everyone, regardless of their role, contributes to something bigger. In our own way, we all help bring great stories to life.

How has your team supported your growth?

My team’s trust, commitment, and willingness to always go above and beyond inspire me every day. Leading them has taught me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about listening, empowering others, learning from every individual, and growing together. They make me a better leader and a better person.

I’ve also been fortunate to have leaders who believed in me, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and trusted me with cross-functional initiatives that challenged me to grow.

Finally, I’m grateful to be part of a global PTP community where people genuinely share knowledge, support one another, and collaborate across regions. That spirit of collaboration has broadened my perspective and continues to shape the way I lead.
