You’ve seen our game announcements, read the media coverage and watched the trailers – but do you know the people behind-the-scenes who coordinate it all? Meet Kehau Rodenhurst, Animal Lover, Dog Mom to Olive and our Executive Director of Integrated Communications. From overseeing strategy to developing product messaging, she is one of the forces behind our global communications team supporting the Warner Bros. Games portfolio.

Hailing from Hawaii, Kehau dreamt of running a sustainable animal sanctuary filled with goats, chickens, cows, horses and other animals that might need help. But after moving to Los Angeles, CA, she found herself working on games including the Tomb Raider, Tony Hawk and James Bond franchises. No bias (okay, maybe a little), her favorite was working on the Mortal Kombat X campaign and the Clueless Gamer segment that featured Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski.

“Being able to go to the taping in Phoenix, watching it being filmed and then seeing the final piece was amazing,” she recalls. “The bit was hilarious and is one of the highest viewed Conan O’Brien videos on YouTube. And we were able to get a ton of coverage because Marshawn was not answering any questions at the Super Bowl press conference (you might remember the famous line – ‘I’m here so I won’t get fined’). It really was a lighting in a bottle moment.”

Kehau has now been at Warner Bros. Games for 13 years and she believes the people are the best part: “Working with the talented people across the company is amazing. Aside from that, being able to work on so many iconic franchises is nothing short of incredible.”

She is also still planning on that animal sanctuary.
