From video games to toys and exhibitions to theme park rides, Moira Squier has spent over two decades creating written content for amazing brands. As the Narrative Director and Advanced Game Writer at WB Games / Avalanche , she is currently focused on writing for Hogwarts Legacy – all the way from her cozy New England home, accompanied by the most perfect pair of rescue pups.

“Our games are a tremendous labor of love for so many people,” said Moira. “In addition to having an absolute ball creating content for such immersive worlds, I’ve learned an extraordinary amount from the artists, designers, producers, implementers and other writers on the Avalanche team.”

In her current position, Moira frequently draws on her past experience as a lawyer, actor and director, but she is also driven by the high caliber of creativity that her colleagues bring to the studio.

“It’s an exceptionally encouraging and creative environment. Everyone is at the top of their game,” she says. “The intellectual and artistic ‘ping-pong’ I get to play each day with dedicated, bright, talented and quick-witted colleagues is not only just plain fun, it also serves as a constant master class in a variety of fields.”

When she’s not delving into the intricacies of creating content for world-famous IP or catering to the whims of her cuddly four-legged friends, you can find Moira channeling her creative energy into her role as board chair of the Notch Theatre Company, where she helps people all over the country tell their stories.
