This Women’s History Month, we are shining a light on the real-life superheroes: the phenomenal female talent working behind-the-scenes at WBD, each an example of dedication and courage in their respective fields.

Next up is Nalini Sankaranarayanan, Director of Engineering at WBD India.

"I've been with WBD India since January 2022, but have worked in the entertainment sphere my whole career. When I wanted to shift from content distribution to content creation, I thought to myself, what better place to do that than WBD? It’s home to so many iconic brands and content I grew up watching.

Leading the development of the Media Supply Chain team at the India Development Center, my team and I develop new services that power Warner Bros. Discovery shows from conceptualization to distribution. This includes audio dubs, subtitles, transcoding, and more – all to ensure that the show is ready for its audience. We also maintain a global inventory of all content so that WBD can utilize it and generate revenue.

As a woman in tech, it is essential for me to not lose my focus and never to sweat the small stuff. And I’ve got to thank my grandmother for who I am today – she was my support system who encouraged me to push the boundaries as a woman and a working professional.”
