“I remember when Barack Obama was first elected in 2008, there was a lot of talk that we were now in a post-racial society. But nearly 15 years after that historic election, when we look at what’s happening in Black, Latino, Jewish, Asian American, Native American and LGBTQ communities, it’s clear that race and equality are still issues for this country. So, the news must reflect what’s happening in these communities… the good, the bad and the ugly. I am grateful that every day I get to focus on these communities and their stories.”
