Q: There are a number of tech companies in India. What is it like working for one that builds entertainment? How is it different and what makes it special?

A: Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley in India with big tech companies having their footprint here. However, I have always worked in the media and entertainment industry whether it is to cater to Walt Disney early on in my career or working with Comcast, liberty global, Belgacom or Viasat — cable networks across the globe. The last 10 years have been with Tata Group — Tata Play working on consumer facing products.

With WBD, I have moved upstream in content lifecycle to work on products from ideation to distribution. It has been a new learning curve. I am captivated by creativity and storytelling which when translated on-screen are consumed by millions of people and each one of them having a different experience on their interaction. I find this process to be very intriguing and fascinating.

Q: Are there any exciting in-office events that have made Warner Bros. Discovery a great place to work?

A: WBD IIH has a busy schedule through the year to interact and engage with employees to bring them all together with various programs. It's all work and all play here! Whether it is competitive cricket matches, celebrating the numerous festivals, bring your kids to work, or hosting the first tech talk panel by Mit, Haile and Nalini, there have been great initiatives spearheaded to build engagement, inclusivity and our 'One Team' philosophy.

Q: What are some top priorities for you and your team as you are measuring your success throughout the year?

A: Top priority is global consolidation of all the various supply chain and building a new suite of applications. With Duplo 2.0, our goal is to prioritize global adoption, introducing new workflows to ease business teams and driving cost efficiency with convergence projects.

Q: How have your career ambitions aligned with your personal values and goals?

A: One of my core values that I carry with me is a verse from Bhagavad Gita which says, "Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kada chana" (in Sanskrit) which means, "Perform your duty to the best of your abilities, but do not work toward the outcome of the same." So, having a positive and balanced midset with discipline, passion and integrity and extending the best version of myself every day, I have observed that the results translate to the desired outcomes in both my personal and professional life.

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in tech and what are you most passionate about?

A: I've been in tech for the last 21 years working in the media and entertainment industry. The creativity that we see in this domain, which later translates to millions of users watching the content without knowing the work that goes on in the background to achieve the excellence on-screen, has always been an intriguing and satisfying experience for me. I am most passionate about the product we build to bring in the best experience to the users and adding value to their daily usage with new technology adoption.
