Each bite-sized, animated video breaks down a key part of the journey from our own recruiters—from crafting a strong resume to navigating the often-intimidating in-person interview. Episode 1: Your Resume

The first step to landing your dream role is crafting a standout resume. This short video will help you get started! Keep reading
for some additional tips that didn’t make it into the video:



  • Keep it simple. Include your contact information, a portfolio link (if relevant), and clear job qualifications with dates.

  • Use implied first-person verbs. Start bullet points with strong action verbs like managed or developed, without using “I” or “my.”

  • Avoid spelling errors. Use spell check and ask someone else to review your resume.

  • Be specific. Use concrete numbers and metrics when possible–such as goals achieved, team sizes, or performance improvements.

  • Tailor your resume. Include relevant keywords from the job posting: action verbs, tools, job titles, and specific skills.

  • Consider a brief mission statement. A short, focused statement at the top can help convey your motivation and direction.

  • Stay professional. Avoid gimmicks like selfies, jokes, or distracting graphics. Your audience may be busy or stressed–make your resume clear, concise, and easy to take seriously.
